
Mariam Narsia is a public sector professional with extensive experience spanning diplomacy, parliamentary affairs, geographic information systems (GIS), and organizational administration. She currently serves as Senior Specialist at the Cabinet of the Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, where she contributes to high-level administrative coordination and institutional operations.
Prior to joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mariam worked at the Parliament of Georgia as Executive Assistant to the Head of the Committee on European Integration, supporting parliamentary activities related to Georgia’s European integration agenda and intergovernmental coordination.
Earlier in her career, she spent more than eleven years at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, where she worked as a Geographic Information System Specialist and HR professional. During this period, she developed significant expertise in spatial data analysis, administrative management, and institutional processes. Before that, she served as a Geographic Information System Specialist at National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), contributing to geospatial and statistical data initiatives.
Alongside her public sector career, Mariam is the Founder and Manager of GIS Academy, an educational initiative focused on advancing GIS knowledge, professional development, and digital mapping competencies.
Mariam holds a Master’s degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Ilia State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Tbilisi State University. Her multidisciplinary background combines technical geospatial expertise with extensive experience in public administration, institutional coordination, and strategic communication.
